We are delighted to welcome Oli Mansfield to our practice.

Oli first joined Quarry Architects in September 2024 for his placement year before returning to Coventry University for his final year of study. He graduated this summer with a first-class degree in Architectural Technology, alongside received the Course Director's Excellence Award. He returned to the practice in August 2026 to continue his professional development here.

During his placement year, Oli built a strong technical foundation, gaining hands-on experience across live projects and developed his skills across various sectors and stages of work. Building on the knowledge gained during his placement year, Oli developed a keen interest in the use and role of AI within architectural practice. This led him to write a dissertation titled: The Evolving Architectural Practice: Exploring AI Adoption, Disruption, and the Reshaping of Professional Roles. His dissertation examined how architectural practices are responding to AI and the realities of what the future looks like for practices. His dissertation gave him the unique opportunity to interview industry professionals, including AI specialists, to discuss the practical aspects of AI implementation and case studies demonstrating how the technology is being used in architectural practices across the world.

At Quarry Architects, we are keen to lean on Oli's interests and experiences - developing our AI implementation strategy, exploring how AI tools might can support the team's workflows and outputs delivered to clients.

Outside the office, Oli enjoys playing pretty much every sport possible, as well as being a regular presence at the gym, staying active. He is also an avid traveler, with a keen interest in exploring new places and cultures.
